I can't relate to the thyroid issue, but I do know that a messed up thyroid can be really difficult to deal with. As far a dp goes, I have had this and I'm sure many others here have as well. I think it's just our minds way of taking a break from the constant strain and worry. There is a book called at last a life, that is written my a fellow in the UK actually. It's his story about his struggle with anxiety depression and dp. He has completely overcome these issues, but it takes patience and acceptance. I am ordering this book for myself from amazon. I just thought it may be of help for you, as you have suffered so much. I must ask, when you are out on a gig, or with your friends, do you find your dp lessens? This would show you that when our minds are occupied with something else, we can have moments of clarity. I assure you that you are not going mad, or will you. If this were the case, I would never of been able to marry, have kids and a career. Am I cured? Nope, but I have gone many years without a single moments suffering. my mistake was thinking I was cured with medication, only to discover that stress will catch up eventually, but it's how we respond to it that makes all the difference. I just know on my heart that some day,you will be here supporting those that need it. Have faith in your doctor's and most importantly yourself.
