I had my visit with an ear, nose & throat dr, referred by my gp. She looked at the ultrasound results that had been taken, ordered by my gp. She said that my thyroid had nodules, but everything looked ok and that my TSH was normal. She said that meant that my thyroid was producing the normal hormones and didn't see any reason to take any further tests. My symptoms of cracked or ridged nails, fatigue, hair loss and constipation could be related to some other of my illnesses or meds.
I'm not pleased with her diagnosis and I'm going to tell my gp. I'm going to ask my gastro to refer me to an endicrinologist to get a second opinion. Anyone have any comments?
