Is this a thyroid disorder?

Hey everyone. I'm a 23 year old female from the Philippines. My journey starts December 2015. During this time I was plagued with colds. It went away for about a week and half. Came back first week of Jan 2016. I was then treated with antihisthamine. It finally went away. The next week, i was put under an INTENSE amount of stress. I would cry every night due to a pile of stressful events. The week after, i realize i am losing weight. Yes, i lost appetite to eat due to those stressful events but i'd still eat normal portions (i am thin but i do eat a lot). This bothered me as i am not the type to lose weight easily. Around this time as well, i realize that my stool has been softer and isnt as dark as it used to. I shurgged it off thinking that this may be due to my breakfast routines. On January 26, I decide to get a check up. I was tested for thyroid, got a whole abdomen ultrasound, xrays, all results came out clear except for my ecg that showed arrythmia. I was so stressed about the weight loss, i was thinking it was cancer (i lost about 3-4 lbs in 3 weeks). On this day as well, i realize that my leg muscles were twitching. A few days after, i realize that my muscle tone has decreased. I'd walk and literally see my thigh fats juggling. That wasnt the case before. Shrugged it off thinking it might be stress. Fast forward to february, i gain around a pound but good news is i wasnt losing any anymore. I got hooked up with aloe vera pills that help digestion. Bad news is, the twitching has progressed everywhere. They are painless. I'd have very quicks spasms but are painless as well. I twitch around 10 times in different areas within an hour. Literally everywhere. Buttocks, lips, fingers, toes, abdomen, arms, legs, everywhere. I feel as if im not as strong as before as well. When there is pain, it's tolerable. Except for one time my right thigh really hurt i had to take paracetamol. It subsided right away. There are times that i feel my bones are the ones that hurt. There was a time i went up a flight of stairs and i waited in line for the train and i stood up straight. When i stood up straight my knees shaked like crazy. I had to cross my legs standing up for it to stop. Please note as well that my stool is constantly soft and then would suddenly be constipated. The color is still at a lighter shade and the consistency isnt well... consistent. I'm getting tested for calcium, magnesium and potassium deficiency and i am hoping that it's the cause for my muscle twitchings and tolerable pain. I feel weak and frail. I can do everything i used to before but i get fatigued easily. I've been so stressed not knowing what's happening to my body. I'd cry, get depressed. There is also some muscle pain from time to time particularly in the arms and legs. Whenever i'm relaxed, a muscle twitches and i'm reminded that hey something is wrong with you. I've been to cancer forums, ALS forums and I'm just so scared I have that. I'm so stressed. Just yesterday and today i've accidentally bit my tongue. i noticed that i have a scalloped tongue. I was doing so well the second week of february when i started to gain the weight but now, i'm losing weight again. I'm so confused. my tests for TSH, T3 and T4 came back normal but somehow when i search my symptoms I always end up with the thyroid to blame. the weight loss i hyper, the tongue is hypo and i'm just so confused. thanks for taking time to read this. i hope anyone can help me.

Hi,

Do you have the actual results for your thyroid function? TSH is the most important !
Just falling within normal range is frequently not enough.
If you can , try to get tested for thyroid antibodies, those are TGab ,antiTPOab and TSIab, the first two are for hashimoto's disease which can cause both hypo and hyper, and the last one is for graves which causes hyper.

Once we see what is your actual TSH results we will be able to help you more .

I got tested last month, January 26 for hyper. I didn't know that Hashimoto's could exhibit both. is that a possibility? Below are my results.

TSH- 0.856
FT4- 14.3
FT3- 4.4

I really don't know which type of doctor I should consult. I'm gonna have a check up with a gastro tomorrow and I'm not so sure if he/she can help me. On Friday is my neuro appointment and I'm not sure if he/she could help as well.

Yes it is.

Neither Gastro nor Neurologist treats thyroid disorder, you should ask your PCP for a referral to an Endocrinologist, who in turn should help you balance your thyroid.

What are the reference ranges for the Free T3/4 ? values should be compared to the normal reference range used by the lab that ran the tests.

And one last thing is your TSH levels, it fall within normal range but it is low in the range , with this TSH I would feel absolutely hypER, but each one is different and thus an appointment with an Endo is in order.

Do get the antibodies test ASAP, this can help the endo diagnose you with thyroid disease .

Oh wow... this actually might be a thyroid thing after all? Since I'm getting tested for vitmain deficiencies, let's say they come out below proper range, you think the thyroid may be the cause as well? Below are the ranges. Wow thanks so much for the help!!!

T4- 12.0-22.0 T3-3.1-6.8

Hey guys, i'm at a total loss. I just need advice if this is neurological or possibly a thyroid problem. Like what I said, I've been having body wide twitching, in the past day they have been concentrating on my leg area. I have twitches on my fingers and toes. I'm starting to have cramplike pain on my right calf. Some stiffness and cramplike pain on my fingers and pins and needles from time to time. Please help.
