Abnormal Thyroglobulin AB, Thyroid Cancer?

Hi All!

Super new to all this so I will give you a quick run down of my concerns and also my latest blood work results.

A year or so ago went to my Ob/Gyn and had some blook work done due to sluggish, tired and excessive hair shedding, full feeling in my throat along with hoarse voice (Hysterectomy done 3 1/2 years ago) He said my Free T-3 was too low, even though was in the "normal" range according to the lab he said they like to see it in the upper side of normal. He put me on 60mg of Armour. Went back a couple months ago due to still feeling sluggish and fuzzy headed, said my free T3 was still too low (I believe it was 3.5) He up'd my meds to 96 of Naturethyroid. I felt uneasy about this so made an appointment with an endocrinologist. He ran a whole panel of thyroid tests including antibodies. I am a bit concerned because the Thyroglobulin Ab is high as well as my T3 is now OVER the range. Any help/info would be great. Below are the results:

Thyroglobulin Ab 7 IU/mL < or = 1 IU/mL
Thyroglobulin 1.6 ng/mL ng/mL
Reference Range:
Intact Thyroid 2.8-40.9
Athyrotic <0.1

THYROID PEROXIDASE AB <1 IU/mL

T3 Free 5.3 pg/mL 2.3 - 4.2 pg/mL

T3, Total 183 ng/dL 76 - 181 ng/dL

Free T4 1.2 ng/dL 0.8 - 1.8 ng/dL

T4, Total 7.4 mcg/dL 4.5 - 12.0 mcg/dL
FREE T4 INDEX (T7) 2.4 1.4 - 3.8

T3 Uptake Ratio 33 % 22 - 35 %

What about TSH? it remains the golden standard by which to diagnose and treat thyroid patients .

I had high Thyroglobulin AB when I first started treatment and I do not have thyroid cancer. The high reading is often present in Hashimotos.

Have you had an ultrasound yet? That will tell you if there are any nodules. In my case, the ultrasound revealed a benign nodule. Most are not cancerous.

If your T3 is that high, you may be over-medicated at this point. What is your TSH?

I do not know my TSH yet, I am waiting on that result to come back. I just saw him again yesterday after I posted this and he told me this: You are Hashimoto's. But, because of the hoarseness and fullness in your throat, and the fact that your sister has a goiter and mother has nodules, we will order a CT scan of the soft tissue of your throat. He did say that those symptoms could be inflammation, but will scan to be positive. He didn't seem to concerned with my T3 levels, said that is was indeed high but not high enough to be concerned. Also, I had taken my thyroid meds that morning and a couple hours later had my blood test which he said could cause a bump in the levels.

The hair shedding is much better but the energy levels are still not quite there even with the T3 high.. I don't think I mentioned that I do take hormone shots (estradiol w/ Testosterone) monthly. Just wondering if all this is related. It all started after I had my ovaries out.

Ohhhh the joys of being a 45 year old woman :) :)
