Hi-
I have Hashimoto which is in control for quite some time (my TSH is 1.76 and has been around this for awhile plus TPO Antibodies are less than 40, but above high of normal range and have always been since diagnosis in 2012). I've also recently been diagnosed with UCTD. Lately, my feet (on the outside bottoms and under the toes) and lower legs are so painful whenever I have walked quite a bit or stood on my legs for an hour or so just cleaning up in my kitchen in the evenings. I also get cramps in my toes that draw them up making my foot hurt and look deformed whenever I'm doing yoga. I ran across this post because I'm trying to understand could these relatively new symptoms be related to Hashimoto, UCTD, or both or neither. I'm a thin person and in decent shape/health except for my 2 autoimmune diseases that don't significantly impact me, so I can't blame my weight or another known health issue. I don't have answers about AI connection, but if I find out anything I will post them. I am seeing connections when I google either Hashi or UCTD with foot pain - but I may never know definitely if these symptoms are directly related to AIs just because of the nature of these diseases. I'm happy to hear from anyone else who has experienced this symptom and been told its from the AI and why (ie low Vit D level, poor blood circulation caused by thyroid, etc)
Thanks, NDCHEG
