Anyone taking Nature Throid?

I have Hashimotos but my thyroid is usually in hypo mode. I've been on every medication there is(not that there's many), and I still don't feel good. I've even tried natural remedies. Armour did help me for about a year and then I started get heart palpitations and fast heart beats everytime I took it even when my thyroid was in the low range. So now, I'm waiting for Nature Throid to come in so that I can try it. If this one doesn't work, I have no clue what else I'm going to do besides taking my meds every few days.

I read that adrenal fatigue could cause fast heart beats while on Armour but my adrenals test came back okay. It was a little off by one number, but my internist said it was okay.

Anyone else experience this?

I've been lucky to be successfully treated with levothyroxine. It did take a couple of years after my RAI to get my thyroid status stable. I think perhaps since I have no remaining natural thyroid function, it doesn't interfere with the meds.

I tried Synthroid a few times and each time it made my legs hurt really bad. My endo thought I was allergic to it. I'm a very complicated case and I think having Lyme makes it worse.

about two years ago, I was in hyper mode and was losing weight. It was so weird for me because it's always very hard for me to lose. I can look at something fattening and gain weight, lol. It was nice not having to try so hard and I actually lost 42 pounds. I kept it off for a year but recently gained half back since I'm not doing much moving right now.

Hi CajunGirl -- I also have Hashimoto's and Lyme disease. I'm having a horrible time figuring out which is causing what symptoms! I'm playing around with different thryoid meds, too and am currently on 100 mcg Synthroid and 60 mcg compounded T3 daily. My Lyme doctor, who is also currently my Endo, said some people don't need T4 replacement at all, and actually respond badly to it, especially Synthroid. I tried removing it for a week and felt worse. But I'm going to ask him about Nature Throid b/c I was on it before. I think that + the extra T3 might be the thing for me. I think you should try Naturethroid, too.

Re: fast heartbeats, I've been having that lately too. Maybe it's a Lyme thing? I am on cortisol replacement therapy so it could be that for me too.

I just started. DX with lymes 5 years ago, seems to be under control. Have UC chrons . Just hanging out here to hear about good things about nature throid medication. Hope to get more energy. Right now though, can this nature thyroid cause a lot of gas??

I will be switching from Armour to Nature-T next week. I've been hypo-T for the last 4 or more years, and then ulcerative colitis the last 3. I feel a tiny bit better now my thyroid #s are in normal range, but still not great. I understand Armour changed it's formula when it was bought out many people have had problems.
