hey ya'll
i just got my thyroid checked, like i do every 6 months. and my antibody test came back at 248 with a range of 0-20! my TSH was 4.8 with a range of .3-5.5, but i hear 1.5-2 is where it really should be. I was also diagnosed over a year ago as premenopausal, but i am only 25! which freaks me out! well i was reading on here that people were diagnosed with perimenopause but it happened to be their thyroid instead. any thoughts? i see an endocrinologist on the 23rd So i am hoping for answers there. I have always wondered about my thyroid because my mom and grandma(moms mom) had medullary thyroid cancer, so i am super paranoid about my thyroid, i dont want that AT ALL! i am hoping to catch any thyroid problems because it turns into medullary thyroid cancer, which is hereditary. Any thoughts on this? could it really be my thyroid and not premenopause? here are my symptoms for those of you who have had similar experiences ( oh i also was diagnosed with crohns disease too)
right now my legs feet hands and face keep swelling up, i am super sensitive to the cold and heat, i am SUPER SUPER fatigued, my hair is falling out, my skin is super dry, i am confused, sad, i cant think very fast, im forgetful, clumsy, and the list goes on, but those are the ones that bug me the most. my menstrual cycle went from normal once a month, to twice a month, to three times a month. i have been on EVERYTHING! i had an IUD which was SO PAINFUL they took it out 3 months later, the only thing that helped was the Depo shot, but i am off of that now...well thanks for listening!
