I take 12.5mg leventhroid in the morning before eating. This morning I woke up took my med, about 15mins later I drank some juice and ate some nuts. about 15 mins later I was vomiting like crazy. This is the second time this has happened. Is it the med? Do I need to make sure that I leave more time before eating? Sometimes I wake up so hungry and I am ready to eat and if I don't I get sick to my stomach. ugh any suggestions?

You need to wait 30 minutes after taking it before eating or eat and then wait two hours to take medicine.
The point is your stomach needs to be empty when you take it and not eat for 30 minutes after taking.

Hope fully today taught me that lesson. I am going to keep my medicine by my bed so that when I wake up about 3am I can take it, so that I can eat when I wake up. Thanks for answering.

Taking it when you wake up during the night is a good idea. That is what I do too. Hopefully this will help.

If you continue to have vomiting issues maybe your doctor can change the med. I understand that some people cannot tolerate certain versions of the thyroid med, like generic versus name brand.

My doc raised my leventhroyid to 30mg, so I now I really need to make sure that I take it well before eating.
