I had been saying my throid was off for a year...First Dr said I was just fat...In the meantime I was admitted to ICU for massive PE and on the cat scan they saw a 2.1 cm noduel. So now the endo wants to treat me. I changed to a different one, he did ultrasound and FNA and it came back as not malignant. That being said, I have now been diagnosed as Hasimoto's: Dr wants to wait and see and just re ultrasound every 6 months.
My labs...
TSH 2.6 reference range .4-4.50
T4 free 1.2 reference range .8-1.8
T3 total 89 reference range 76-181
Thyroglobulin antibodies 30 range <20
Thyroid proxidase antibodiees 15 range <35
I asked if he'd consider treating with synthroid since my symptoms are so awful and I know with my sons thyroid issues anytime he got over 1.5 THS he was awful. I could tell by his mood, skin, and all that goes with it.
Should I press the issue to try and lower it. Mood, mental fog, dry skin, muscle aches, and joint pain different from my psoriatic arthritis...Somethings got to give or I am going to go nuts, even though I already feel this way...
