Hello, I am new to this board and would appreciate any insight.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome a few years ago but wasn't having problems with fatigure again up until about 6 months ago. I'm very tired during the day even though I get a lot of sleep at night time. I've gained about 10 pounds in the past year without any changes in diet or exercise, and I have nightsweats most nights, sometimes several times. Since December, I have been suffering from a lot of problems with fatigue.
My doctor ran the TSH lab test, and my score was 2.241, which seems to be in the normal range.
He also ran a Free T4 and the result wsa 0.68, which was indicated to be "slightly" lower than normal.
I have been reading conflicting information online, some do indicate that I could have a low thyroid level, and that medication may help.
Thanks for listening (or rather reading) and for any advice. I hope that something can be done that might help to get me back to feeling better.
Liza
