Thyroid problem

Hi! My name is Lori and I'm 37 years old. I have been having some issues with GERD/ acid reflux. Not sure which one it is yet as I have an endoscopy coming up tomorrow. about three weeks ago I started having this tight feeling in my throat. My doctor said it was due to the acid reflux. It kind of made sense to me but I felt like something else was wrong. I finally had blood work done on my thyroid levels and the doc said they were normal. She knew I was uncomfortable with that so they did an ultrasound of my neck. They found that my thyroid was slightly enlarged , I have some cysts on my thyroid and some lymph nodes were swollen. I go for a nuclear scan on Thursday. I'm really scared...hoping to get some advice. Thanks!!

Hi,
Can you post your thyroid related blood tests with reference range.
Just falling in the normal range might not be sufficient for you.

My TSH level was 1.42. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be.

Hi,
The range set by AACE is 0.3-3.0, in some European countries it is ??-2.5 .
So yours is in the middle of range and these results would be optimal for the majority.
Be sure that they test you for FT3 and FT4 in addition to TSH each time you go for blood tests.
