Hi all,
I am 25 yo female. Mother to 2 young children & wife to a medically retired marine. After having my second child in 2011, I started having thyroid problems. At first they called it thyroiditis and said my body should take care of it on its own, probably just had trouble bouncing back after my pregnancy. Since 2011, I have bounced back in forth from slightly hyper to slightly hypo...back at the endo for a check up Monday...found out I was now legit hypo (7.3). She started me on Synthroid 75 mcg. I am nervous about taking it bc what if I swing back I to hyperthyroidism while taking the Synthroid? Wouldn't that be dangerous?
I haven't seen anyone write about having antibodies for both hyper & hypo and their bodies bouncing back and forth from one to the other...

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I don't know what do you mean by antibodies for both hypo and hyper, in general, TPOab and TGab can present in patients with graves disease as well as in those with hashimoto,the majority of those with Grave's have TPOab, however, TSIab can be present with Graves disease.

5% of the people with normal thyroid function have TPOab.
