I am new to this forum. I have had 2 different nodule biopsies in the past 2 yrs. The last was last week. The results were that they found atypical cells in the biopsy. The endrocrinologist suggested having him do another biopsy or surgical removal of the thyroid. After going thru this inconclusive biopsy I have opted to see a surgeon for complete removal. My appointment is next Monday. Reality is setting in. I am scared to have the surgery, worried about
having to take a pill for the rest of my life, yet tired of dealing with these biopsies. Any advice on questions to ask the surgeon and/or expectations after surgery?
Thank you.
