I've been dealing with a lot health issues ongoing for the last two months or so, and in the process we found that my iron stores are very low and I have hypothyroidism. My doctor put me on feramax because I tend to react very badly to medication after having an ulcer (at 18 year of age....) last year, and she said it is basically the "Cadillac of iron supplements".
So I go to the pharmacy to find out that my insurance doesn't cover it, my doctor has prescribed me 2 months worth of this stuff, and it's 60 bucks. The next day I take my first pill and get crippling nausea at school. Great.
Then the following day I take it at night, and three hours later I'm awoken bY crippling nausea again, and make it to the washroom just in time to throw up. Rinse and repeat a couple of different times with food, without food, before bed, in the morning, and all with the same result.
Then I headed to the internet to see what sort of side effects other people are experiencing, and I find nothing. On Feramax's websites, side effects do not even mention nausea or vomiting, just constipation. Has anyone experiences nausea when taking Feramax? If you did, is there anything that helped? I'd hate to see $60 of pills go to waste.
