Hi, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about
15 years ago and after initial trying out syndroid and few other thyroid medication I got settled (and it worked) on cytomel 75mcg (taking 50mcg in the mornings and 25mcg in the afternoons). Over time I went through some dramatic life changes and was on and off on anxiety meds. Quit smoking 5 years ago, stop depression pills 2 years ago, changed doctor and got my thyoroid meds lowered down to 35mcg. Random blood test showed TSH up to 6 so my doctor increased cytomel to 75mcg daily. Yesterday I had new blood test for TSH and I see the results with TSH down to 0.01!
just a quick question: last two test for TSH went from from 6 to 0.01 - is this normal?
... I am finally less cold, less puffy, less water retention... more chest tension (not really pain) - Not feeling good but I believe there were some initial improvement in my energy level too(will see my doctor about
this next week). Should I be concerned being overmedicated? I will also see a new endocrinologist on May 22 about
my thyroid.
I just do not know what it is to feel "normal" (my 72 years old mom has more energy then myself)
thank you for any input :)
