My son and his thyroid test....need opinions please.

Hello and I hope that someone can help me. My 20 year old son was having tummy issues and had an endoscopy done. Blood work for the procedure showed that his TSH was low. I took him to an endocrinologist and she says that she doesn't want to put him on meds because his other numbers look okay and she just wants to "monitor" him again in another 4 months.

I am concerned because my son is having a lot of trouble sleeping with anxiety. I ended up taking him to a psychiatrist for the anxiety and he was given anti anxiety meds (I believe Prozac). This has not helped him and now he is resorting to drugs (Vicodin, etc. that he has been purchasing at college). I am beyond upset as the drug use is escalating.

I believe that a lot of the anxiety is thyroid related but my husband gets upset when and says we need to listen to the doctor. I thought I would put his lab results on here to see what the opinions were of others. I'm desperate as I feel that I am losing my son.

Test dated 01/21/2015:

TSH Range .40-4.50: His results were .24
T4, Free Range .8 to 1.8: His results were 1.3


Test dated 05/15/15:

TSH Range .40-4.50 His results were .30
T4 Free Direct range .8-1.9: His results were 1.2
T3 Total Range 7-181: His results were 122
Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobulin: Range Less <140: His results were <89
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies Range: <9 His results were <1

I don't know what to do. Can my son be having major implications resulting from his over active thyroid? Should I seek a second opinion?

He could be missing vitamins and minerals necessary to support the body. Make sure he is eating healthy(raw fruits and vegetables). Get his vitamin D and iodine level checked which are very important for the thyroid. Try and get him off the drugs. The four things necessary for good health are proper diet, sleep, exercise and prayer and meditation.
