Neck Nodule-scared

My co worker noticed a nodule on my thyroid area (we are all RNs). My PCP ordered ultrasound, TSH,T3& T4 labs. I had everything done yesterday. Waiting to hear results- of course it is the weekend. No symptoms- which is common of anything. Scared, but trying to keep positive. Only my 3 co workers know, don't want to alarm my Mom & grown daughters.

Once you have the actual TSH and T3/4 results please do post them here and we will be able to help you better !

It is good that you performed a thyroid US, it will show whether you have nodules and their sizes , if it/they are big enough then a fine needle aspiration might be recommended by your doctor.

More than 95% of nodules are benign, so you should not be worried, also the size of the nodules is important but also their shape, this is why you should ask your PCP to refer you to an Endo.

Just received call from my Dr office- I have several colloid cysts on my thyroid & they are benign. No follow up needed. I looked this up & they can tell this on ultrasound- I'm very grateful :0) Labs not back yet.

Hi,
I have no experience with thyroid cysts, so I don't know whether Levo can shrink them, ask to be referred to an Endo !

Once you have the labs please do post them here and we will be happy to interpret them.
