Anemia with Hypothyroidism

My mom is anemia and was put on meds for hypothyroidism. I asked her doctor if hypothyroidism can cause anemia and she said no. She is insisting for her to get a colonoscopy. I read on line it could cause anemia.

if your mom has autoimmune thyroiditis, he should be checked for celiac disease which can cause anemia.
