Hi,
I've been having what appear to be hyperthyroid symptoms for 1 year now: significant hair loss, weight loss, heart palpitations, insomnia, muscle tightness (especially in the neck and back). My TSH runs low .78-.88, and my antibodies for Graves and Hashimotos have come back negative (although Graves runs in my family-maternal cousin and uncle).
I also have been diagnosed with scalp sebo-psoriasis (which I cannot get rid of despite multiple steroid/anti-fungal shampoos) and occipital neuralgia (which is my neurologist's best guess at why I am having significant scalp pain--like I've been smacked in the skull with a baseball bat--but not always in the occipital region).
I have been able to control my heart palpitations and insomnia by taking Thyroid Calming drops (Herb Pharma)--2 dropperfuls per day, though my hair loss and weight loss are not improving.
Also experiencing a large increase in cherry hemangiomas on my torso and scalp--new ones appear each week.
Does any of this sound familiar to those with thyroid problems? Do any of you have suggestions as to which direction I could take?
I have already seen 2 endocrinologists, including one at Mayo Clinic. They both ruled out hyperthyroid because my TSH, T3, and T4 was within range.
Appreciate any thoughts, as I am reaching the end of my hair and am down to 98 lbs.
Thanks in advance!
