I agree. Get a new doctor. I have been on thyroid replacement for over 20 years. I always have an extra month’s supply on hand in case of a natural disaster. You should never run out. The dosage might be off, but at least I know I can survive.
Just me rambling here: Extra on hand is a great idea as many thyroid brands have run out due to manufacturing issues in the past. I have been caught in the middle of that before. It can mess you up and make you unemployable through no fault of your own.
During parts of 2009, ALL natural pig thyroid in America ran out. No excuse for this to happen, and it was the FDA's fault. I got mine from Canada, since synthetics dont work very well with me. And FDA / Big Pharma wants to make importing meds to US illegal? I could have had a heart attack and died from no thyroid med. Some people might have.
