Hello, I am new to the group but have been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroid for about 17 years. I had been stable on 100mcg of synthroid for over 3 years. In November/December 2020 I began experiencing hyperthyroid symptoms and my TSH was .002 along with a slightly elevated free T4 (1.8 I believe). My synthroid was reduced to 75mcg and rechecked about 8 weeks later in March . My TSH was 0.07 and still slightly elevated free t4. I was still experiencing hyper thyroid symptoms of anxiety, elevated heart rate, heat intolerance. My synthroid was reduced to 50mcg daily and rechecked in four weeks. By the time of my recheck in April I was feeling very hypo with fatigue, cold intolerance and depression. My TSH had jumped from 0.07 to 39 along with a low free t4 (0.7). I am now rotating synthroid doses between 50mcg one day and 75 tbd next. I will get repeat blood work may. My question is has anyone experienced such extreme fluctuations in TSH? I am 44 years old and have used the same pharmacy for the synthroid for years. No major eating changes other than eating less meat. Should I be doing anything further than getting my blood work repeated?
