Just got home from my yearly eye doctor appt. Boy do I love getting dilated. Anyway we talked about UC and my past pred. use. Everything was a-ok. Made me think of you guys and wanted to remind you to get your eyes checked!!!!

Tab, you must've read my mind! I was just going to post a reminder to our members about that. It is especially important to have a yearly eye exam when on steroids or have been on steroids.

yeah, I know I need glasses for distance and know my vision has gotten worse since being on the pred. I wanted to wait until I was off it for a little bit before I go, was not sure if my vision would get a little better when I get off the pred and don't want to get two pairs of glasses for different prescriptions $, does that make sense or should I just go now???

I went a few months back and my doctor said my eyes are great and my vision is better than 20/20. At least one part of me is since I feel like I'm falling apart most of the time! Actually people in the office kept asking me "You're not having any problems? So why are you here?" haha... Better safe than sorry I would think...

My eyes really bothered me when I was on prednisone. I finally broke down and got a new prescription for glasses, but that prescription has changed every year for the past few years. I found that my vision was blurry and I had trouble reading comfortably, even with glasses, while taking lots of pred.
