Anti-fungals that worked for you

Grape seed extract works very well for me, as well as oregano oil.

HOLY CRAP!  Remission after 34 years? There must be hope for me.

    Peppercini and popcorn iritates my colon

    but i dont get bad symptoms like bleeding'

    and gas, no forming , as before.

    This after 34 yrs of needless pain and suffering

    -its finally fixed.

I was seriously looking into the Olive Leaf extract, but I will also take a look at caprylic acid.

I went to my health food store today (In Australia) and was told that you can't buy it. I will have a hunt around as I wonder if this lady really knew what I was talking about.

I have been trying garlic for the past fortnight and if nothing else it has cleared up my sinus problems that have plagued me for years. With regard to the UC, it certainly hasn't made anything worse and although it looks promising so far, its too early I think to say if its helping.

I believe you are 100% correct with your theory and for me, I am on the mend in a big way. Every week I feel better and better, stools are 100% normal, not mushy or loose and my energy levels are off the scale "except" upon waking in the morning. Two months ago I took a lab test, which showed high amounts of wastes products from parasites, bacteria and yeast...since then, I have felt much better and stronger and last months test verified it by showing a reduction in those wastes. This is by far the best I have felt in six years of suffering with UC and I am only 50% of the way through my anti-fungal program.

I truly believe that even without following a program like this...if we just eliminated sodas, breads, milk and sugars many of us would see an improvement within a very short time span.

I believe an anti-fungal approach maybe the only thing that will help restore us to full health; which is something I am not far from at the moment.

Actually, I am taking anti-fungals as part of the herbal supplements but I don't want to list them or promote my nutritionist unless he's successful with the program. I have been instructed to rotate between four different types of anti-fungals; I take one course of anti-fungals every four days then switch to another and so on. One anti-fungal may require taking one supplement or it may require taking four...it varies and sometimes I take them before meals and sometimes during, etc.

 That  sounds like my story. My mom said I was on antibiotics alot when I was a kid for ear infections. I think my

UC started when I was about 14 on and off but got bad and DX around 19.

Thank you for your response. If you find the program is successful, I would be interested in the contact info of your nutritionist. I do believe a large part of my son's problems is microbial since he was on antibiotics almost constantly the first 9 years of his life-due to ear infections, had grommets twice, etc. Looking back, the docs handed out antibiotics like candy, if I only knew. I am a little nervous about trying the anti-fungal regimen without the backing of a professional. I have been on a quest for one in the area but am willing to span out.

Just reporting in. Its been 5 days now that I have been taking both Garlic Oil and Olive Leaf Extract, each 3 times a day as per instructions.

Garlic - Taken as Blackmores Garlic Oil, equivalent to Allium Sativum bulb, 3g.
Olive Leaf Extract - Taken in liquid form, 5mL.

So far the results are looking positive.

The first thing I noticed is that my sinuses have dried up. I have had sinusitis for as long as I can remember, and for the first time since hitting my teens, my sinuses are dry and not sore and runny. Mind you, the sudden drying up was a little uncomfortable, but not as bad as a sinusitis flareup.

Better yet, I am sleeping far better during the night (I was waking up approx 8 times a night last week). This has reduced to somewhere between 2 and 4 times now. To top it off, I am getting somewhat normal form to my stools. Even toilet trips are reducing during the day and the urgency has defiantly reduced to something manageable.

I did however cop a decent dose of the expected Herxheimer effect - the toxic whiplash that occurs due to the toxins released during the fungal die off. The D only lasted 2 days, but the fatigue has lasted a little longer. I am starting to feel way better today.

Will update again in another 5 days for those who are interested.

Shall see if these positive effects continue...
