what about eye pain and discharge

she just walked in the door from school and said her eyes hurt! not only itch , there is discharge from both , but her eyeballs
hurt i have seen something here relating to eye problems, i will tyr to get her to the eye dr in the morning
and her gi appointment is in the afternoon. also says her neck feels stiff, but she is getting a cold, is there such a thing anymoore
as "just a cold?"anyone with a theory? thanks

I think stiff neck and cold symtems are a sign of spiral meninjitis. I would insist the Doc test for this
Absulutely insist. Do not be alarmed its probably nothing but better safe then sorry. If caught early no problems
if miss XD and left untreated meninjitis can cause big problems.

My eye doctor told me last week that some UC suffers can also have severe eye pain, the medication for which is a topical Prednisone. I've never experienced this 'joy' but it's something you may want to consider...

If she has sore eyes and a discharge she could have pink eye or an eye infection. I have a 2 1/2 year old...I am familiar w/ pink eye as I had it twice last year. My eyes actually ached if that makes sense. I was given antibiotic eye drops and it cleared up in a matter of days.
