My current status and future here at HW.

Bob, I'll be under the knife in 3 to 4 weeks too. And although my surgery/recovery is no where near as intense as your own I wanted to share with you a mantra I will be keeping in my thoughts as a source of comfort and support in the weeks/months to come:

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past
I will turn my inner eye to see it's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me in the past. I hope you have a quick and complication free recovery.

OMG Bob I am ever so sorry to hear this!!!!! I cannot even imagine what you and your loved ones are going through, and even though I'm confident you are a very strong individual, I'm glad that you have many shoulders to lean on at this time and in the future.

I hope ALL goes well and wish you the very best and really hope you are able to keep in touch here.

Oh Bob i can't believe what you've endured and what lies ahead for you in the next few months.Many of us would crumble with the weight of such poor health, but you always fight on and remainan inspiration to all us here.You know you can count on my prayers buddy.I will be thinking of you and hoping things start getting better for you.

    You are sucha  support to so many here, i only wish i could do more,If you don't mind can you send me your address(email it to me) so i can send you a nice card.Thank you again for the lovely Christmas Card it meant a lot to us.

Very sorry to read that you have complications in the feet. Wishing you steady progress thru the doctors' scenario; may you get out faster than they estimate for recovery time! The laptop sounds like a good idea to help you keep up with the world of distractions outside while you're confined. I have a wheelchair-bound relative who really enjoys looking at various museum Websites to see paintings featured in current exhibits, etc. / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])

((((BOB)))) I just saw this post and my heart aches for all you have gone through and all you will be going through. You have truly been an inspiration to us all. We miss you very much. Please do whatever you need to do to get where you want to be!
