I have been struggling getting back into remission from having a baby 19 months ago. I am on 6-Mp and will be going to the doctor again tomorrow. We are going to talk about
some other options. Has anyone tried Lialda?
Thanks

I've been on lialda for about
9 months. I was in a flare when I switched from asacol to lialda and didn't notice a difference in symtoms either better or worse.

Hi! Do a search at the top of the page. There have been lots of posts lately about
Lialda.

I was on it for most of last year and recently quit taking it, per DR. orders. Both he and I were "unimpressed" with the results of the medication (it didn't do anything.)

Lialda is the same drug as Asacol, just formulated in such a way that it can be taken once a day. If Asacol works for you, it likely will also.

hi! I'm on Lialda and have had GREAT results. Lialda.com has lots of information for you and there are many posts on here, too. How many are you taking each morning? I noticed results quickly--from 15-20 trips to the bathroom with blood, mucous, cramping and urgency to 2-4 and no blood, etc. I think it's great and I like that it has MMX technology so that the pill dissolves in your colon and is supposed to coat the entire colon. You take it once a day vs. several times a day. Keep us posted!

Just started Lialda a week ago. I have noticed a little difference for the better. Slightly fewer stools (down to about
8-10) and definitely more formed stools, no blood/mucous. Lots of gas though... still sometimes having difficulty telling if it's a real urgency or a gassy feeling. :) I'm hoping that things keep getting better, with fewer stools. We'll see. Hope it works for you!

I am on the Canadian version of lialda which is mezavant. I think it is great to be able to take it just once a day. It's not a miracle drug for me...but I prefer it over asacol, pentasa etc...
Thanks
Carmen
