So I just saw a picture of me before the prednisone... it was october.

I know exactly how you feel... I don't ever want to go on prednisone again, it really is just ridiculously depressing.

Here's me before (this was probably three years ago):

Oh and Kara... I should probably mention that my face slimmed down shortly after I stopped taking it. So it will go away! Just drink a LOT of water and avoid as much salty foods as possible.

Awww regardless of what the evil pred does to you, you both are still beautiful! But yes, the chipmunk cheeks go away. I was never on pred but Colocort for almost a year. I never knew that my cheeks were getting so chubby until I had a picture taken. Not nice! But now since I've been off them for a while, my face is back to normal :)

I just read the book about Cojo (Glamour Interrupted). Look what prednsione did to his face too. It gets rid of those wrinkles, though.

By the way, his book was great to read. Although his problem is kidney disease, it is all the same. He talked about how overwhelming etc and then how he has learned to "deep throat" pills when he use to not even take asprin. He talked about dialysis etc.....very tough road. Inspiring story, though,.

No mater what you may think of yourselfs when you are on prednisone. You are beautiful!! after all. We all put up with this ugly! disease. I hate myself also when I see pictures but I just think  it's temporary. Keep your head up and remember were all in this together.
