9 days of IV steroids!!

Well, I was discharged from the hospital today.  I was on IV steroids (300mg a day) for 9 days due a bad flare that I couldn't get under control.  My body feels like it has been through a war.  My joints are so swollen, it makes it hard to walk.  My face is so fat too.  I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.  How long did it take you to feel normal again?  I'm going to continue taking the oral steriod for about another month.  They have me doing 40mg for the next 7 days and then taper down 5mg every 5 days until I'm off.  Any similar stories would be apprecaited.  I'm feeling pretty down right now . . . .

Well, if nothing else, it's comforting to know that someone else is going through the same thing I am.  I can't believe how terrible I feel.  I hate how fat my face is.  I look like I gained 20lbs. in a week!  What meds are you on now?  Are they going to wean you off the prednisone too?
