Alright lads and lasses, had my last colonsocopy, ever, today. I am to arrive at the hospital at 6am bright and early tomorrow for the first stage of my jpouch surgery. I have given my fiance access to my account here so I can keep you guys posted on things are going via her infinitely greater typing/writing skills. I should be in the hospital for 4-5 days pending lack of complications, etc, etc. Have a good weekend, and take care.

Carlow! this is exciting! I am really glad your fiance has access, as I definitely want to hear about
your progress. I hope you're able to get some good rest tonight, and that you and your fiance somehow say farewell to your colon this evening!

Hello all! Holy cow what a couple of days its been! What is today? Saturday? Ok. So the colon is out as of this past thursday. I'm currently in the tail end of a blood transfusion but I'm doing well. I'm on a clear liquid diet as of today (I was on an "ice chip" routine since thursday morning). I can't post more, this is just a quick update. My fiance will post more details tonight. I'm going back to napping after I take my second walk around the nurses stations!

They can't keep a good man down! Hey, Carlow, what a perfectly typed post, even with one arm plugged in! Take care; hope you can get some quality rest in-house. Are they giving any hints about
your discharge date? / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])
