When to go to hospital?

I went after I was unable to even keep liquids down.  Generally, my blood pressure would be very low and pulse very high.  I was always bleeding heavily, was living in the bathroom, not eating..then throwing up anything I did eat.  I also tended to be feverish at this point.

I have a huge tolerance for my disease, and may have waited too long by the time I went.  But....I would finally go after the symptoms I described.  My last hospital stay had my intial blood pressure at 60/40.  Im lucky I even made it!

If you haven't been able to keep down fluids for 24 hours - time for the ER.
If you're bleeding really badly - time for the ER.
If you have a fever of 101+ for over a few hours - time for the ER.
If the pain is really bad (intense, sharp, stabbing) - time for the ER.

My answer to this question is if you are the question then it is probably then you probably need to go into the hospital. I would recommend avoiding going in on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday because that is when the hospital is short of staff. Many doctors have the weekends off so you probably wouldn't be seeing your GI on Saturday or Sunday.
