unsympathic boss

I teach at a small pre-school.I love my job but my boss is a real piece of work. We get 3 sick days a year & when I called in sick  she gave me a hard time telling me that I need a drs note.She knows that I have uc .I told her that I wasn't going to the dr. because there is nothing she can do.I called the drs office &  told them my situation.They asked when I was last seen .Well, that was for my colonscope 5 yrs ago &  was told that by law  they can't give me a note.I have been under her care for 8 yrs taking asacol, canasa, & Rowesa enemas. I need to  come in.Don't need another colonscope for 3 more yrs. What will the dr do?I wouldn't mind just going in & paying for an office visit to get a note.Help!!!!!!!

I am equally surprised that you continue to get prescriptions from your doctor without seeing her. My GI wants to see me every 6 months, whether in flare or remission. After I was first diagnosed, I skipped a well visit and went a year without seeing him. When I tried to get my scripts refilled, he wouldn't do it without seeing me.
