Thinnist pad availible

I know some of you won't leave the house without a pad on for fear of messing oneself, i do have this fear and on a hour and a bit trip i messed myself, whatsmore i was on the motorway on the phone at the time so i couldn't stop. Fortunatly i was wearing a pad and i didn't mess my clothes.

What i want to know, most pads/diapers/nappies are designed for uninary loss and are quite thick to absorb, i think we don't need such a thick pad, whats the thinnist that is around?

I buy the extra long thin pantyliners for my husband. It is more a security thing than anything else. In case there is a staining of any kind it is on the pad and not his underwear. (If you need something for a heavier discharge then you would need a thin maxi pad then.) It makes a tremendous difference as there is no soiling or odor on his briefs anymore and as I said it gives him the peace of mind. Plus it provides a good barrier so if there is a stain or whatever you don't have to worry about it going through your underwear onto the inside of your clothes and possibly giving off an odor.

At first suggesting it was kind of awkward but he saw the sense to it and now it is a normal routine.

When things were really bad with the frequency and urgency and he had to leave the house for an appointment or whatever we had the thinner depends type undergarment that he would wear under his briefs and it did NOT make him look like the Pillsbury Dough Boy...lol. But it definitely gave him the comfort factor and took away all the stress and anxiety the few times he needed that added peace of mind.

For the people dealing with this for quite awhile you do what you gotta do to cope with this. For the newer ones out there maybe feeling a bit awkward about various preventative measures like this....it is far better to be prepared and not have to deal with the accidents that can really make a literal mess of things.

I have said before I was so proud of my husband when he asked and decided he needed something to help him so he could make the Dr appt that one day without the fear he wouldn't be able to make it to and from without a potential accident if he couldn't get to the bathroom within a moment's notice when he was flaring so badly.

I got with a thin maxi as well. I also carry a spare pair of underwear. So far I haven't needed either one. But the day I leave the house without them is the day I'll need them : )

I like the always brand best - they are the thinest I've found and most comfortable.  They come in various lengths.  So depending on how your feeling you can go with very little ones or quite bigger ones 

It isn't the easiest topic to discuss with a spouse when you have only been married for 2 years plus your young age.

Heck we are in our late 50s and early 60s over here and have been together since 1968 so nothing is taboo or off limits to discuss due to our longevity with each other.

That is what is so great about this community to have a place to be able to go and ask any question and get answers too.

I hope as time goes on it will be easier to discuss with your wife. Unless she doesn't want to discuss or know things it will be a benefit for you to be able to let her know some things so she has an understanding. Hopefully she will feel comfortable enough to also ask questions too which will make it easier to understand.

Sometimes I would get aggravated and annoyed not at him but at what he is going through when things aren't going so good. Having an understanding of what he is going through does make it easier to contend with on my end.

ok, the best maxipads by far (and I've tried tons!) asre Always ultra-thin, long, with no wings! They are in a green package. I hate wings, they wings make it too diaper-y, & the ultralong length covers EVERYTHING. And I have had full-blown accidents in my pants with these on, & been able to just rup off the pad & keep the same underwear on! No joke! I think they are considered "heavy" coverage too. Good luck!

In a pinch I tried a very small disposable baby diaper when things were desperate and accidents were frequent. I found it actually worked really, no shifting, etc. I wore it like a pad tucked between my body and undies. A pad would never have been sufficient to contain the mess. This made life possible for me. I carried a clean up kit in my bag....one for the baby and one for me.
