Fresh tomatoes!

Yum! Sounds good. I love tomatoes fresh from the garden. They're so, so, so much better than store-bought tomatoes grown hundreds of miles away.

I only buy Romas in the stores, for cooking and salsas. They get picked so green, they don't have much tomato flavor.

These were sooooo good. Tomorrow, reduced-fat liverwurst with tomatoes. Or cottage cheese and tomatoes. Or....

Oh I love tomato so much, weather it be in a fresh bolognese sauce or on an Aussie Hamburger!

I am very very lucky as a UCer as I am able to eat tomato without too many complications. I have to seriously overdo it for there to be any problems, and I LOVE my tomato.

We have heard of the problems with tomato supply in the US and I hope it passes very soon for you all

There is nothing like homegrown tomatoes! I absolutely love tomato sandwiches from fresh hand picked ones. Tomatoes don't bother my Uc so for that I'm grateful! :)

I'm not a southerner but I picked up eating the sandwiches from my MIL. She's not southern either but she knows her good food! :) I like tomatoes on white bread, miracle whip, salt and pepper. Too bad I didn't plant any tomato plants this year because now I am craving a tomato sandwich! lol

We gave up growing our own tomatoes here, because the wiley mockingbirds always got to them before we did. We tried bird netting, the darn birds learned to stick their bills through the netting. Then we staked the netting so they couldn't reach the tomatoes, and they learned to crawl under it! I don't mind sharing with the birds, but they'd pick a marble-size hole in every tomato just before it was ripe enough to pick!
