Hi,

We are so excited that we have a guest blogger on our UC Story to J-Pouch blog!  Although the MAJORITY of UC people DO NOT have surgery (60-80% do not need surgery), if you are in that other 20-40% who might be thinking of surgery, you can check out Carter: 

Carter is 22 years old (had UC 8 years), and just had his j-pouch 'takedown' surgery (6 days ago) and he is showing his photos and his story of making the surgery decision, etc...

**Also, we sure hope some day to have a female blogger sharing her photos and story (it is the missing piece of the site since all we have are males representin' and these diseases don't discriminate by gender**

Having other experiences makes it less scary at the future possibility. I'm no where near that at this point, but never know what tomorrow may bring.

Glad to hear you have more experiences! I got your message about being a guest blogger, but I'd have no idea what to say!! I'm pretty boring, hahah. If/when I do go for surgery though I will be sure to photograph and document everything so that I can being on your blog too.

Can't wait to get home and read Carter's story (I can't view the site at work, they have practically everything blocked)
