Hi. So I went to the chiropractor/ holistic health Dr. and nutritionist/ "hippie dr" today for my once-a-month back adjustment as it seems to help with migranes. told him I was recently diag with uc. he gave me l-glutamine supplement to try for one week to see if it will help me, in additon to my med (asacol). anyone with experience on this??

L-glutamine is supposed to help with mental function, according the site I buy my supplements from.

L-glutamine is also thought to be involved in repair of the intestinal mucosa. I take it when I think I may be getting sick along with a few other things. Of course it's hard to know what exactly is helping but I believe it has a positive effect on me.
