Enema - help!!

I have not long been back from hospital after having another colonoscopy and now have to use a foam enema every night!! It is not nice at all and i really dont like it!! I was just wondering if it has help anyone since they have been on it?? I know it has different effects on different people but i just dont fell like it is going to work once i am off steriods!!

advice any1??!!

Let us know what enema you are using. I used Protofoam for a month but doc switched me to Rowasa and I started it last night. You will get used to using it especially if it helps!!

At any first sign of flaring this is what i reach for first and 9 times out of ten it works so...... it isnt nice by any means but you will get used to it and i can do it now with my eyes closed ! ( and sometimes do to make it more interesting ... only joking lol )

I only use it when flaring though not as an everyday thing .

I used foam back in '03 when I had a wicked flare and it helped me quite a bit. I noticed a reduction in bleeding within a few treatments plus I was able to move around about 30 minutes after insertion without straining to keep it in. I had no bad issues with it.
