I had my first Remicade IV last wednesday and since about
friday I have started to notice changes. Urgentcy is WAY down, bloating also WAY down, frequency has decreased to 2-3 times a day and I have a little formation when I go which is a first since I was pregnant (that's the only time in the last 8 years I've had any formation at all.)
These are all VERY GOOD signs in my book so I'm happy with those the one thing that's killing me is gas. I swear I have more noise from gas moving around now than I ever did. I try to remember gas x either before or after I eat it does calm things a little, beano has had no impact at all and I'm doing things like cooking my veggies down and avoiding pastas that would normally give me gas but nothing short of skipping meals is stopping it. I've started only eating a snack size canned fruit at lunch so that I can get through the work day without my belly talking to the whole office. . .
Any ideas what else I can try to stop this gas or is this normal in the process and it's going to stop?
I'm looking forward to making a 14 hour car trip this weekend with almost no colitis symptoms . . . . but my husband isn't looking forward to 14 hours trapped in a car with a gassy wife.
