Hi....nodules aren't supposed to be in the colon...hopefully he took biopsies or removed them for pathology.
There would be a range of benign to cancer possibilities....you'll have to wait for the results unfortunately.
Some of us with UC have pseudopolyps....not precursors to cancer.
hyperemia is where there is increased blood circulation in an area.
Mucus is usually found where there is increased activity or inflammation of an area. Spasming of the colon (severe increase of activity) can cause increase of mucus without inflammation as seen in IBS. The purge/clean-out for the c-scope can cause some slight inflammation and increased mucus...
Could be a combo of yours...mild flaring and from the purge.
As inflammation increases, it changes the appearance from smooth to "bumpy" or granular (like how a rash looks on the skin).
It sounds as though you would have inflammation completely up the left side with variable visual changes. It could be worse at the rectum and getting less as it gets to the transverse.
He didn't mention patchy which would lean more toward CD.
This link might give you a few visuals.
No bleeding or friability so that's good.....
