Imuran hasn't really done anything for my UC and hasn't given me any noticeable side effects other than a couple: increased fatigue and brain fog, and a tendency to get occasional bursitis of the elbow (happened twice) easily from an elbow bang or pressure on a hard surface, I'm running out of ammo (have got some partial results from TSO= pig whipworms, and also tried hookworm therapy but that didn't seem to help) for my UC and seem headed for surgery especially if I stay stuck on pred. However I am going to give Remicade a shot soon, I think. Anyway, I was wondering- quite apart from the spooky and unknown cancer risks etc- if the remicade results in much fatigue or anything? The depressing part I find about Remicade is that it seems you have to stay on it forever or until you either decide to get surgery or it stops working, because stopping and starting it can make you allergic. On the plus side, it would buy me some time to make a more informed surgery decision, assuming it worked; and if I quit it eventually for fear of the toxicity down the road, I could prepare to try some other things. (Even thinking of giving fecal bacteriotherapy a shot).
