I always thought the erythema was the little red spots. Erythema is redness of the skin (or in this case, intestines) caused by capillary congestion... From previous times looking at my pictures, it was my understanding that the ulcers were the little bubble looking things, sometimes bleeding sometimes not, and then the rest of my colon would be a reddish color with red splotches everywhere and that was just from inflammation/erythema. I also noticed that my colon was completely smooth looking, it didn't have the haustra ridges and I have no noticeable veins in the intestine, which my doctor said I had a "loss of normal vascular patterns". I really wish I could scan my pictures!!! I will try to take a high quality photo of the photo when I get home and upload it. But it looked nothing like this:
