Colonoscopy Results Are In

And the biopsies came back saying "None of the biopsies show evidence of inflammatory bowel disease" I am beyond thankful , but...how can that be as in May of 2007 it showed mild, moderate and moderate to severe and now not a trace?

I have a call into my GI doc as well.

Means you are in a solid remission and the inflammation is gone. Keep up with your regimen to help keep it away! My last scope had the same results, after five years of nonstop flare.

did it mention anything about the structural changes in the cells to show you did have inflammation?

Everything is fine regarding any precancer..etc?

The message I got back from my doc's office said there was no inflamamtion at all and if I stop taking my meds it will return...not quite the detailed explanation I was hoping for but they did fax me the pathology which said they took multiple biopsies in 5 places @ a) the terminal ileum b) the ascending colon c) transverse colon d) descending colon e) sigmoid f) rectum...the comment section said "none of the biopsies show evidence of inflammatory bowel disease"(wow what a blessing) Thankfully I never had any polyps etc.

I just hope this wonderful thing called "remission" lasts a long while the good Lord willing... : )
