I am so glad I found this post! I have been in a minor flare for about a year (I didn't realize this until recently), and have been on prednisone since early September when it became a major flare (started on 40 mgs per day, now down to 10 per day but I think I might have to stay at 10 for a little longer as my stools are still not totally formed and my doctor may want to start me on remicade or somehting...sigh. that is for another post though...).
I have had night sweats on and off for the last year probably due to my mini flare, but since being on the predinisone, I feel like it has completely intensified and is every single night. I sometimes wake up and there is a puddle under my cheek - and I wish it was just a healthy puddle of drool I too have to keep towels by the bead to dry off. I really like the idea of starting off the night with a towel under me and then once I get my sweat over with, remove the towel. That is a great idea! I hope that these abate soon because now that winter is coming, I literally wake up freezing from the sweats and, honestly, it is just another reminder that all is still not well. Thanks for helping me to feel like I am not just a crazy sweating person .
