how much do you guys pay for asacol?

i wanna know how much you guys pay for your asacol? i get a full bottle of 800mg and it cost me about 48$ cdn per month with my insurance. what about you guys?

With my parents insurance my asacol copay is $16 for 270 or something

Because of it being a maintenance med I have to use my insurances mail order program. I get 3 months worth of pills for $60. When I would get them at the pharmacy each month I was paying $100 for 1 month.

The rx info sheet that came with them had the cost of $600 per month. That is about 360 pills (400mg) a month for me.

$30 for a 1 month supply.... 332 cnt.... $0.11ea... Highmark Select Blue PPO.

$232.00CND/per month. This includes Pharmacare...it goes down a little every month. Takes the whole year to get under $20. Then shoots back up to $232.00 in January. SUCKS.

Is that asacol or salofalk? I don't think I pay nearly that much, but I only take 6 - 500mg pills a day. It seems like you take double that according to you sig. 1500mg x 4. I think I get 540 for around $325, but it takes me months to use them all, and they are fully covered by my insurance.

It is Salofalk. I'm not sure what the difference is. My GP and GI just call it asacol. I get 400 tablets per bottle and it lasts just over month.
I do have medical benefits that covers 70% of the cost minus their processing fee. It's still rough though because you have to shell out the money every month before you can get anything back. And yes, I'm on the max dose for Salofalk. Where do you live?

For me it depends on the time of year.

My January purchase this year for 3 months supply (180 pills per month) was $936.29 where the insurance paid $429.03 and I paid $507.26.

My most recent purchase was free for me since I had hit my $3000 max out of pocket expense earlier in the year.

I haven't checked the price of my July purchase but the April purchase was about 8% more expensive ($1007.44) than January's.

When I was on Asacol, my GI gave me a prescription savers card which made me get them for free!  Of course, i got pancreatitis because of them and now am on Lialda for $10 for a month's supply.

My GI hooked me up with the prescription savings card. I believe there is info on that off of Lialda's website if you want to check it out.  It's still a mesalamine like Asacol, but my body has handled it better than the Asacol. Go figure. I take my day's dosage in the morning (4 pills) so it's nice that I won't have to worry about missing a dose in the afternoon or the evening.
