anyone here lose hair from 6macp

I saw this as a possible side effect and i am pretty concerned considering i am a 25 year old male with long hair...any advice?

Yes, I lost hair in the beginning but it wasn't for very long and it all grew back. Is your hair naturally thin?

Joylu - he is referring to 6mp or Mercaptopurine.

Big time. I developed a bald spot and I'm a female with naturally very thick hair. The good news is when I got off it, my hair grew back with a vengenance... very thick and extremely curly. Over time, it gradually returned to normal, thank goodness.

I have been on 6 MP for four years and it has been a miracle drug for me! It kept me in remission for four full years when nothing else would. I just now started a flare up but I know I'm due. I didn't have any hair loss. The only side effect that I felt was getting dehydrated easily in the sun. I have to just be really careful about sun screen and wearing a hat. Everything else was great. HOwever, there are issues when thinking about pregnancy and breast feeding that you may want to talk to your DR. about. I can't remember if you are a guy or girl but either way it's good info to have out there for everyone.

Not that I know of ..I also have loads of naturally curly hair, and it has always has a tendency yo fall out ...fingers crossed
