So after the Remicade infusion Tuesday there was no miraculous recovery which I was kinda hoping for. I finally ate some rice and scrambled eggs tonight. I ran to the bathroom as usual. I figure it was good to get something into my system. The Glucerna nutritional drinks do the same thing they just don't act as fast because there is nothing solid in my system. Anyway my doctor told me Wednesday that there was nothing he could do to treat me at home that I should be admitted in the hospital for IV fluids, nutrition, and steroids. My question is why can't he just up my steroids? I am very tired from not eating a lot but I guess I don't understand why the hospital would be the next step? I told him that I wanted to finish out work this week and then see how I am feeling and go if I don't feel better. I keep hoping that I will feel better, the next day or the next few hours, but I feel good for a while then the same old routine in the morning. I wake-up about 3:00ish in the morning with cramping and frequent bathroom trips then I get into a hot shower for about a half an hour or so then I dry off and sit on a heating pad, take Tylenol, then get ready for work. I work all day with milder bathroom trips and cramping. I come home and it starts all over again. What would you do if you were me?
