Hi;

Any UC patients using the new drug CIMZIA?   My GI has just started me on it - because of my severe lengthy UC flair-ups. I understand it was first approved for Crohns.

Thanks for any feedback on results. cool

( I'm getting ready to take my third series of injections, am regularly on Asacol and 100ml Immuron )

My doctor recommended this drug also but I was scared since it was only just approved by the FDA in April 2008. Please let me know how the drug is helping you. Good effects/ bad effects.

Will do. My GI doc says that his Crohns patients are doing really well on it. my 3rd injection takes place next week. I'll keep all interested posted on my results.

Took my 3rd injection of CIMZIA tonight. Quite a project, as it's a total of 400 ml. two 200mg shots that you have to mix a vial of the drug in powder form with a 1ml vial of fluid ( dist water i think) then twirl in your hand, not shake. Two seperate shots, one in each love handle for me.

I also started the Spinach and Sunflowerseed diet. I like both quite a bit - it's not Pizza and Beer...but not too bad.
