Hey PSA.Delhi,
How do you go about growing turmeric? Are curry and turmeric the same, or is turmeric in curry? I know curry has a bad smell/taste, from what I've heard.
I would rather get the real deal instead of supplementing with turmeric. Can I buy turmeric somewhere for the time being until I grow it, which I prefer more, especially b/c it's probably cheaper too!
Is turmeric a leaf, weed,...etc? I know its a spice, but I couldn't find any info on it online. I recently bought the vita-mix and it blends anything, no matter what, so it turmeric is a weed or leaf, that would be awesome!!!! The vita-mix is expensive but incredible. I make the best green smoothies!!!
Any info on this PSA would be great and I definitely appreciate it too! I'll give you my email also, if its easier to talk that way!
Dear Freakzilla
My apologies that I missed out your message and could not reply earlier. Well there are lots of Indian stores in the US and UK selling fresh grown turmerric. Curry leaves are different then turmeric. Turmeric is like Ginger/Garlic or potato i.e., it grows under the soil. If you could buy fresh turmeric from some store, you may sow the same in your flower pot and it would grow over a period of 15 to 20 days and over period of time would give you lots just like potato. I have posted a lot of information about the stores in the US where you can find this. I would check and send the same to you. It is on this forum only.
It would be a pleasure to provide you all assistance on this issue and on any other issues which you have regarding natural cure. You would be able to get fresh turmeric in Indian stores who are selling south Indian products/spices etc. There are lots in Boston.
You have to peel the turmeric and chop it into small pieces. If you want to preserve it, you may put it in vinegar (natural would be the best otherwise synthetic vinegar would also serve the purpose). Eat it empty stomach in the morning. It would heal your entire digestive system and take care of acidity, ulcers, bleeding, cramps, skin rashes, blood disorders, etc.
I will send you more information later on.
Take care and good health to you.
