Why does it seem that the tapering past 20 mg of pred always brings back some symptoms? does anyhone have similar re****s? Methotrexate has helped me get here after 3 months, and i am generally good...just a little blood in the morning, but after going from 20 to 15 I have an increase in symptoms and am scared to reduce further.....any thoughts appreciated

Then don't go to 15 from 20, rather make it 17.5, reduce it by 2.5 mg every fortnight. It would help you in regulating your system and producing body's own steroids. I had been doing that. Don't get scared. Feel good stay positive. Have lots of fresh air or go for morning walks. It would help in strengthning your own immune levels and steroid production.

I was in the same situation. I couldn't get below 20mg. I started Humira a little over a year ago and was able to get down to 7.5mg but no lower.
I then started a gluten free diet about
3 months ago. I am now down to 3mg. I am weaning 1mg a month.

I had the same issue, but my point was 15mg. I just couldn't do it. Eventually I got down to 14mg, then 13 & am now down to 5 :)
Just take it slow. It seems like such a pain at the time but you will get there!
