Well after a 64 ounce bottle of gatorade mixed with a 255 g bottle of miralax and about
8 hours of pure dumping, i had my colonoscopy today, the results to me seem to be good news and bad news at the same time, either way seems like a win-lose situation, if they did find ne thing i would atleast know wut it is and how to treat it, if they didnt that means nothing is going to cause permanent damage but i wont know wut i have and how to fix it, well results were normal other then a polyp and some internal non bleeding hemoroids, they removed the polyp and said the roids were that big of a deal and might be causing the pressure in my rectum but doubtful, since it isnt ibd and my doctor said most likely post infections ibs, *** could be causing this pressure in my rectum going on for a week now?? it doesnt make any sense, *** can cause this and how am i suppose to clear it up if its not due to inflammation. is the ibs wuts causing my abdominal discomfort, mucusy diarrhea, and rectal pressure?? o is it normal to be passing large amounts of mucus at the end of this whole ordeal. i am so scared i will not b able to figure out wuts causing my rectal pressure and it will just stay with me the rest of my life!!!

Darlin', it's too hard to read your messages to know what might be helpful to say!
I think you are saying you have IBS or "regular" colitis but not UC/IBD. Any meds prescribed yet?

Peety, I'm glad you said something about
not being able to decipher what WeEn is saying...I didn't know how to do it tactfully, though, but you came up with a good way!

hahaha understandable, alright well i got food poisoning 4 weeks ago, i have had a variety of symptoms but over the last week i have had a constant pressure in my rectum almost like i always have to poop, but i am having diarrhea not c, i just had a colonoscopy today and it ruled out ibd, there was only some internal hemmoroids and a polyp, so now i am at a lost because if there is no inflammation in my colon or rectum etc. what else can be causing this pressure, i am extremely worried that it will not go away.
What i meant to say is that both results from the colonoscopy is bad news for me, cuz if they did find inflammation i would know what is causing these symptoms, if they dont it means i do not have ibd, but yet again i do not know *** i have and i just get labeled with ibs. both is bad news and i got the latter

Id prefer to be dealing with IBS. Unfortunately I had inflammation, a polyp and hemmroids.

get it in both ends?? i am going to start acidiphilus tomorrow along with activia, i just hate the uncertainty around ibs, i could deal with everything except for this pressure in my rectum which i am starting to think could be in my head or something since there does not seem ne other logical explanation, ive just decided i need to stop worrying about
it, start exercising, quit smoking even though it seems irrelevant because it is post infectious, and just power through until the symptoms "fade away" cuz thats all the doctor said "hopefully it will just fade away eventually" what kind of crap is that, this blows

By both ends I just mean if it were me I would be making probiotic enemas and using those up the rear end along with taking probiotics orally. There are several threads on the subject.

At least with IBS you don't have to worry about
having to have your colon removed. So yes, IBS is MUCH better than IBD. Just like I feel I'm lucky to have UC and not Crohn's, because at least surgery will cure my problem.
Yes, relaxing will very likely help the pressure in your rectum.

Call the doctor and ask for him to prescribe you Proctocedyl...that will help with the hemmies. Yes, hemmies can definitely cause rectal pressure and severe discomfort.
The antispasmodic should help with some of that feeling...at least for me it does when I'm having that while flaring.
Did the doc mention for you to use fibre as well...
Are you consuming foods/gum/drinks with artificial sweeteners??
Hope you start to feel better soon...and it's good you were checked out and had the polyp removed...that in itself is good that it was found early. When do you get the results?

Ya the doctor said stick to a high fiber low fat diet, they took a couple of biopsy's which said should be back in 2 weeks? what the hell takes them so long.. i chew gum to help quit smoking and my oral fixation lol but other then that i do not know of any foods that would have it, well atleast the pressure is no longer really painful at nite, but tomorrow i decided i can longer keep worrying about
this and the best thing ican do is stay stress free, exercise, and stay on top of all my school work, im gonna try as hard as i can to forget about
my symptoms and just deal with em instead of constantly worrying a bout the em and the future... we will see how it goes
o ya quincy what type of enemas do you suggest? is it painfuL?

I would suggest suppositories. I've not done the probiotic enemas...hopefully others will chime in on that subject.
It's hard to focus when one's arse is in total pain..but since you are seeing some relief, hope it continues and you'll be able to get on with your school stuff.
You mentioned chewing gum....well, all of the gums are chock full of sweetenrs, and if you chew a new piece often..you're getting a lot.
There is a gum called SPRY. It does contain xylitol...but that's it on the sweetener. I can chew it for quite a while....if I chew too many new pieces during the day, I'll get gas....but two pieces last a long while. Although, when I'm anxious/nervous about
something...it tends to "fall apart" after about
two hours. I get it at a health food store...in a large container, but it is sold in blister packs...expensive, however. I do keep the small container of it in my car..
Hope you feel better soon.
