A catscan revealed thickening in my ascending colon wall and I have been fighting gerd for the last 2 weeks. My esophagus is sore middle of my chest. Now I'm getting cramps on me left side this is the first time I have ever had this my Father had CD and his started at the same age I am. This pain in my chest is the most concerning I have an appointment with my GI doc tuesday.

No Uc is strictly limited to the large intestine. CD however can travel the entire length of the digestive tract.

I get this lump feeling in my throat when I swallow by my voice box area too, I think it might be GERD, I don't know. Seems to effect my ability to swallow water.

I don't have a problem getting food down its sore in the chest area although i'm sure its gerd now. If you have a hard time swallowing your GI guy should take a look down there. Planning on getting a EGD and colonoscpy at the same time.

I'd be going for an endosdcopy because that is not a UC symptom, like Sherry said, it would be more indicative to crohn's, or it could be GERD.

Well I'm setup for Colonoscopy and EGD on Tuesday I wish I could get it sooner. My Gi won’t give me anything until he gets a look in there and I have been feeling bad. My symptoms are now more like mild UC. When I eat after about
1 hour I feel bloating right below my sternum. Then I feel pain in different parts of my colon. It also makes strange noises and I can feel movements in there. Still having little chest pains here and there I'm not sure what that’s all about
. My heart has been checked out 3 times and even had a nuclear stress test. I just can't eat much of anything and I have no appetite I only know I need to eat because I get weak. I’m concerned about
cancer as my symptoms don’t really show UC I have no fever my WBC is normal, and no diarrhea.

unfortanetly its more likely chrones....UC sticks only to the large intestines where as chrones can show up through out the entire digestive tract
